Work and Play Therapy is a privately owned psychotherapy practice in West Seattle that offers mental health counseling, play therapy, and academic/ADHD coaching to children, teens, young adults, and their families. Work and Play Therapy is proud to provide assistance and guidance to all of the individuals and families that make West Seattle the wonderful community that it is.   My name is Kristin Mueller and I am the founder and owner of Work and Play Therapy. I provide a warm, nurturing, and safe environment for clients and their families and incorporate various techniques and therapies into my work depending on each individual’s needs.   I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Substance Use Disorder Professional, and a Registered Play Therapist - Supervisor in Washington State.  I incorporate play and a playful sense of awareness into all of my work - whether that work involves a child, an adolescent, or an adult.   My educational background and professional training and approach to therapeutic work are based on a developmental and systemic model -- all people develop and change as they grow and all growth takes place in and in influenced by a family and/or societal system.  Whether I am working with an individual or with a family-system as a whole, any change made in one part of that system will impact the individual and vice-versa.   Clinically, I have extensive training in the assessment and diagnosis of learning differences and I provide educational consultation and coaching for children and families that are working with struggles related to Attention Deficit Disorder, poor executive functioning skills, and other difficulties that children may have in the classroom setting.
